Ascari Cars Ltd. is a British automobile manufacturer based in Banbury, United Kingdom founded by Dutch millionaire Klaas Zwart. The company was named after Alberto Ascari (1918–1955) who was the first double world Formula One champion. Besides manufacturing cars, Ascari also manages a racetrack, Race Resort Ascari.

The KZ1R GT3 is Ascari's new thoroughbred for the track. The KZ1R is the track-tuned version of the KZ1, the race-bred supercar for the road, of which only 50 were ever created.

Its powerful 5.0 litre BMW based V8 engine delivers 520bhp and can reach a top speed of 200mph and goes from 0-60mph in an adrenalin pumping 3.4 seconds. Hand-built to order at the state-of-the-art Ascari design and production facility in Banbury, the KZ1R costs around £225,000 depending on exact customer specification. Stylish, edgy and sleekly aerodynamic the KZ1R had a super-light, super-strong carbon fibre monocoque chassis and body shell weighing just 1,250kg. A front splitter and fixed rear wing add the finishing touches that turn this supercar into a track superstar. The GT3 was made even lighter. The interior is stripped to the bare bones to reduce weight even further and accommodate the integral roll cage. This is a car designed to take pole position on even the most challenging racetrack.

This particular KZR1 GT3 competed in the British GT championship in 2007 and the FIA GT Championship (GT3) in 2007 and 2008. It is finished in white, with Zero hours on the engine and gearbox. The rebuilt included new gearset, crownwheel and pinion.

The vendor describes this car as immaculate and ready to be raced in the 2011 season. It is eligible to compete in British GT “B” Class, Britcar, VdeV, V.L.N., GT Cup, Australian GT, Asia GT, UAE GT amongst others. A spares package is available by separate negotiation.
